Turning grief into laughter.
On December 4, 2015, Dan Golinsky was hit by a reckless driver while on his nightly neighborhood walk, sustaining a traumatic brain injury that took his life eleven months later. His son Evan, then fourteen, founded the Golinsky Comedy Club to honor his father's love of stand-up — and to direct attention and funding toward TBI research, a cause too often overlooked.
In nearly a decade, the Comedy Club has raised over $120,000 for the Brain Trauma Foundation, Ryder Trauma Center and Achieve Miami.
